M157 Bent Connecting Rods — Diagnosis & Forged Rebuild in Dubai
M157 5.5L biturbo V8 — the rods are the limit when you chase big power.

The M157 5.5L biturbo V8 is a strong engine, but the factory connecting rods are the known weak point once you push serious boost and power. Tuned cars can bend rods, leading to mechanical noise, lost compression and, if ignored, major damage. This is exactly the kind of build we specialise in.
Symptoms we see
- Knock or rattle under load, often after aggressive tuning
- Loss of compression on one or more cylinders
- Scoring of the cylinder walls (found on inspection/borescope)
- Misfires or rough running that worsens with boost
- Concern after a big-power tune without supporting internals
How we fix it
We confirm the condition with compression/leak-down testing, a borescope inspection and teardown where needed. The rebuild then uses forged connecting rods, and where the bores are scored or damaged we fit Darton sleeves to restore and strengthen the cylinders — along with the supporting components for your target power. Built by our master engineer Tasos Moschatos, with progress videos throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Common signs are a knock under load, lost compression and misfires, frequently after running high boost on stock internals. A compression and leak-down test confirms it — send us your symptoms and we will guide you.
- Yes — that is our speciality. We rebuild with forged rods and supporting upgrades so the engine safely handles your target power, then tune it to match.
- Yes. We handle international engine builds and can organise shipping both ways. Send us your details for a tailored plan.
